Super Bowl Sunday at Scotty's

About a month ago, we received a facebook invitation to attend a Super Bowl Party at Scotty's Bar and Grill in Corozal. Of course, we accepted! Not that we're either Ravens or 49ers fans, but what the heck....

The party was to start at 3, so we arrived promptly at 4:30p.m. The larger than we thought palapa restaurant is located on "H" street right next to Nancy and Scott's home. There were only 2 other customers sitting at tables when we arrived. A "squares" board was set up as well as a 50-50 raffle for their sponsored soccer team. A projected tv, onto a white window shade, and 3 other tvs were scattered throughout the bar/restaurant. The specials menu was created for the Super Bowl- everything chili plus a couple varieties of wings, but their regular menu was also available. Most of the crowd, of 20 or so, crept in over the next hour.

Watching the game
The crowd
More of the crowd

The expat crowd was split in their loyalties, but weighted heavier for the 49ers. Go Ravens!
Drinks flowed, good service, good food, good crowd and a good game.
